Wedding Coordination, Vibeke & Neal – 2016

This wedding was done while I was an employee of Evention.

My last wedding with Evention was an absolute stunner for Vibeke and Neal who got married at the breathtaking Bakenhof in Wellington.

The wedding was luscious yet contemporary, if such a thing exists! The venue is so dramatic and large, it was a hard job to make sure everything we did didn’t get swallowed up by its size.

The ceremony was quite late in the Autumn afternoon, happening in the smaller glass chapel type venue with beautiful views of sunset over the mountains. Drinks happened in on the terrace outside with a live jazz band and as the sun set, guests were ushered in away from the rather chilly night. The reception was held inside.

In terms of the look and feel, it was all about striking floral and a lot of fairy lighting. The tables wither had tall crystal candle holders or clusters of fairy lights knotted together draping from the ceiling. The florals were large, clean striking leaves grandly sitting in large vases.

On the dance floor we had a web of lighting and a wall of lights behind the beautifully glamorous pearl cake. The black and white checkered dance floor suited the look so perfectly.

This wedding was so full of class yet unpretentious, relaxed and carefree!
